Objective
HARK! aims to transform how children and young people receive and experience live music in Europe, ensuring access to high-quality, inclusive, educational and emotionally resonant performances. It does so by empowering Young Audiences Music (YAM) professionals (musicians, producers, organisers) and school students through capacity building, international collaboration, and innovative tools and practices. The project’s specific objectives are:
- SO1: Strengthen YAM concert providers’ competencies to co-create, evaluate, and deliver high-quality productions for diverse audiences
- SO2: Enable the regional, national, and transnational circulation of YAM productions and professionals
- SO3: Improve data collection and learning in the YAM field via a shared digital platform
- SO4: Promote best practices and accessible approaches through training and toolkits
Delivered by 16 partners across 11 countries, HARK! includes:
- YAMcrew Playground: on-the-job cultural management capacity building for school students in 7 countries
- YAMlabs: international training and local production labs for musicians and producers guided by expert mentors
- YAM Showcases: presenting outstanding YAM productions at regional/national & international level
- YAM International Touring: supporting 27 curated YAM productions to tour across Europe
- YAM Development Package: piloting YAM ecosystems in 3 new countries via study visits and local training
- YAM Platform: a digital hub and database offering open access to 15000+ users
KPIs & Expected Results include:
- 144 Musicians/producers trained
- 350 Young organisers trained
- 27 National & 3 international showcases (5000+ children, 1200+ professionals)
- 27 Transnational tours (2700+ children reached)
- 1 Open-access platform & 4 toolkits
Aligned with Objective 2 of the CREA call, HARK! introduces systemic, digital, social, and artistic innovation, empowering youth as cultural agents, supporting professionals, expanding access, and strengthening YAM ecosystems across Europe.
