ECHOES is a collaborative, trans-European project that empowers live music venues to become catalysts for ecological action. The project brings together venues, artists, and communities from Romania, Ukraine, Greece, and Norway to address the environmental challenges facing the live music sector and contribute to the EU's Green Deal objectives. ECHOES promotes sustainable practices, cross-border collaboration, and artistic innovation through a comprehensive suite of tools, resources, and creative initiatives.
At its core, ECHOES fosters cross-border co-creation by engaging emerging European artists in a pan-European eco-music initiative rooted in soundscape ecology. The project's key components include: a comprehensive sustainable practices toolkit for live music venues and event organizers, original musical works inspired by soundscape ecology, a transnational concert tour, and a digital platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
The project will produce an Eco-Soundscapes Album, organize training and workshops, and develop community and audience engagement strategies to promote ecological awareness and sustainable practices within the live music sector.
