Prosjektbeskrivelse
Prosjektbeskrivelse fra prosjektets søknad til Kreativt Europa:
Resourses for Educators Across Choir traditions «Methodology - Teaching across borders» is designed to develop and improve the methods of teaching voice and choir for children and youths across three different countries, cultures and traditions in Europe. Acknowledging that borders exist between nations, cultures and disciplines, the project is designed to focus on voice but also interdisciplinary cooperation with orchestra, voice and instruments, traditions and modern expressions. Through this collaboration, we will create opportunities for music educators to co-create, experiment, and learn from one another, contributing to the promotion of innovation and creativity in music education.
By combining traditional methods with innovative techniques such as movement, improvisation, and emotional expression, REACH not only strengthens artistic creation but also promotes the circulation of European cultural content among young learners and educators.
Our methodology combines traditional choral practices with contemporary pedagogical approaches, emphasizing voice development, movement, and improvisation. REACH places particular focus on reaching students from disadvantaged backgrounds and peripheral areas, working actively to challenge gender stereotypes, celebrate cultural diversity, and make choral music more accessible to underrepresented groups—especially boys and youth who often face barriers to participation.
