Om prosjektet:

Rawabet is a cultural development, residency and exchange project bringing together several cultural organisations operating in Europe. It mobilises joint experiences to promote innovation, solidarity, and effective engagement with different audiences in Europe and helps dismantle stereotypes and counter disunity and differences caused by the ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to meet the rights of refugees and migrants in Europe. The project also contributes to the promotion of freedom of speech and openness; enables newly arrived artists to innovate by linking them to existing networks; provides resources to conceptualise and test new organisational models and practices with artists from Europe and the Arab region; focuses on the importance of getting together in public spaces and using digital spaces as an alternative public space; and shares positive results with the wider art community to support the transition towards a complementary art system. The project is headquartered in Brussels, but has operations and activities across France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Norway.
