the adventurous music PROJECT for children
The Adventurous Music Project for Children (AMP) is the result of the interest shared by several leading organizations in stimulating and improving the production and presentation of a non-commercial range of music for children in Europe. By joining forces they hope to make the rich and varied musical life of Europe more accessible to children.
The partners hope to achieve the goals of the AMP as follows:
- by establishing a network
- by organizing a festival in various European cities and
- by setting up co productions
The adventurous music for children Network (AMN) is an intensive consultative platform where the partners exchange know-how and information on producing and programming music projects for children, organizing the mobility of artists and the distribution of projects, and planning and discussing joint projects. The AMN is where the partners pursue sustained agreements and long-term results.
The adventurous music festival for children (AMF) shapes a European music festival for children that combine the expertise and artistic input of the partner countries. The result is 11 festivals in five European countries during the subsidy period. To stimulate artistic cross-fertilization within Europe, local projects are combined and confronted with productions in the partner countries at the festival.
The co-productions are the result of consultation between the cultural workers who combine their expertise and invest in two European co productions.
- Nomade: together with a group of children from the host country and ‘Nomade', musician creates a project that will be presented locally at the festival
- Atelier Musicale: brings artists from various countries together for the realization of an interactive concert which will be toured in Europe
